Create your very own thumb piano based on Gongche notation, step by step, while learning the fundamentals of pitch in traditional Chinese music and performing a well-known Beiguan piece, “Seven-Line Poem.”

In this hands-on workshop, participants will not only understand how Gongche notation represents musical pitch, but also build and play their own instrument, experiencing how traditional musical systems come to life through sound and practice.
