Listen to Daxi at Dawn invites you to begin your journey at the Story House of the 24th Day of the Sixth Lunar Month, where you'll wander through Daxi's historic streets and hidden alleyways, discovering how everyday sounds reveal the town's unique character. Listen to the flowing river at Zhiqing Pavilion, encounter the ceremonial melodies of the Three Offerings Ritual along Xinnan Old Street, hear the vibrant sounds of Beiguan at Tongyi Residence, experience the echoes of traditional woodworking on Heping Road, and witness the living traditions of Daxi's community associations and local faith at Furen Temple.
More than a guided walking tour, this is a journey of listening.
As you explore the town, you'll record your own collection of Daxi's soundscapes. At the end of the experience, you'll transform your recordings and reflections into a personal story—capturing the memories, emotions, and sounds of a morning in Daxi.
