From morning till night, this itinerary centers on immersive local parade troupe ("shetou") experiences and the cultural richness of Daxi’s historic district. Designed around participation in Daxi’s vibrant traditions, the tour includes bilingual (Chinese-English) guided walks through the old town, in-depth explanations of the June 24th festival, and a firsthand experience of local troupe night rehearsals. Participants will observe the everyday rituals of Daxi’s community in the lead-up to the celebration, giving international visitors a deep and authentic understanding of local cultural values. There may even be opportunities to personally engage in night rehearsals or try on the “Da Shen Ang” role, showcasing Daxi’s unique cultural charm.
