This original musical follows childhood friends Ah-Zhong and Ah-Yi as they reunite, bridging two key moments in Daxi’s history — the first appearance of the sacred palanquin in 1917 and the revival of the pilgrimage in 1947.
Blending local woodcraft, Beiguan music, and community tradition, the story traces a son's return home, prompted by his father’s fading memory. In the heat of devotion and firecrackers, he rediscovers faith, friendship, and home — and passes on the Sacred Emperor’s blessing to the next generation.
